[what] graphic design 1 w/ Jen Bracy. B.
a series of educational postcards relating to the history of graphic design and promoting AIGA (american institute of graphic arts)
my subject: influential american women graphic designers. i wanted to educate people about them because women arstists in general werent/arent recognized like men artists in this country.
i decided to pick 3 women who worked or thought differently. paula scher did graphic design the traditional way. jaqueline casey embraced both traditional and computers. and april greiman totally enjoyed technology (macintosh was her favourite tool.)

[when] winter 2003. revised winter 2004.

[how] i researched each one of the women and different artworks by them, and picked the ones (shown below) that worked best with the idea. i re-designed and slightly altered their work (but still wanted the same style of the originals) on adobe illustrator to fit the AIGA promotion theme.

[extra] thankyou jen for lending me your book for research, thankyou lisa for letting me use your computer to make those when i was stuck without illustrator, and thankyou telegraph street and my cousins in berkeley for a good relaxing break sometime in between.
